El Ranchero Restaurant in Wickenburg

The BEST margarita I've ever had and the BEST chicken I've ever had in a restaurant. I had the chicken quesadilla, and hubby had tacos. He said the grilled and ground beef were really good too. Everyone was friendly, the food came out fast, and it was all delicious- even the chips, salsa, and beans that come out before the meal. Very glad we stopped there on a whim!!!

It's a pretty good place I've been there many times it's like a family-run place in a small town typical Mexican food not as healthy as food that I like but it's still good and I'll go again

Came in wasn't really busy only a couple other people there Waitress took forever to take our order & to bring our food, the food had no flavor and you can tell it was out of cans not home made And Taco just fell apart. The only thing that was good was the Margarita And salsa & chips.

Excellent local place; not a fancy but well worth the stop. We had the Carne Asada and Beef Taco Dorados (pic below). Both were excellent and the portions were sizable. Service was excellent and friendly. Just be careful parking in the rear. Can slide off the hill there and into the ravine below.

Slow service food just okay had the all you can eat fish the waitress gave us our bill half way thru the meal like she wanted us to leave small little fish. Like they just wanted us to go away

Having a marvelous day and thought we'd treat ourselves to a nice lunch. Had a veggie burrito and a wonderful Margarita. Soooo good.

Great service and wonderful food. The interior is nicely decorated with murals. I had the shredded beef chimi and it was perfect. My husband had their fish tacos ( local favorite) and he thought they were delicious.

I've eaten here a few times. It's our go to place for Mexican food in Wickenburg. The service is very good. Friendly and attentive staff. Large portions. Good basic and delicious food.

The place had a lot of people eating while I was there so our experience may not have been normal.The first plate brought to me had a large amount of water mixed with my food, they corrected that by bringing a new plate of food.There were 4 of us eating, none of our food was hot only warm. Flavors were ok but not great. We drove up from Sun City West, NOT worth the trip.

We stopped there for dinner before heading home to Phoenix ...The food is simple nothing fancy... really close to homemade.. I had the number 5 combo that was filling... The shredded beef was spiced just right & had good flavor and plentiful

Great food and drinks !!! Stopped by after a day riding our can am for dinner and was not disappointed. Service food drinks and very cozy place we're definitely going stop by again when we're in wickenberg !!!

Hidden Gem Alert !!! - first of all the staff was excellent and friendly. Next the refried beans was possibly the best I have ever had... paired with the Mixed Fajitas it was most delicious. Must visit... my buddy had the taco salad and just by looking at it that’s what I will order next time.

Small and local Family business. Great service excellent food even the compliment water taste great. Excellent behavior they treated you like a family. And please do not leave this place without desserts call. flan 🤗 I will definitely come back to this place very soon.

Out of town for Christmas vacation and happened to find this awesome place. Candy was our server and she was beyond excellent. We have some dietary restrictions which she easily helped us navigate. Usually this is something that bothers most servers and restaurants, not El Ranchero! We ordered Veggie Fajitas which arrived piping hot on a sizzling platter with enough beans, rice and guacamole for everyone. Definitely worth trying out this little gem!

GINORMOUS portions and the customer service was ok downside it was super expensive.. hopefully they can adjust their menu prices, and I'm sure they would be packed. Good luck 👍

I am giving the benefit of rhe doubt here cause I was there on Valentine's day. The food was good and plentiful but service was super slow and not very good. During the 40+ minute wait for food we were not asked if we wanted more beer or chips. Any other day and this would have been a 2 or 3 star review. Protions are big enough for a big eater to enjoy. Prices are good for what you get.

My sister, her husband, my daughter and I at here and I was wowed by the service and the food quality. The wait staff were very humorous and like to joke with the customers. My food was excellent and I plan to return whenever I visit my sister.

We love this place! While there are other Mexican Restaurants in town, this is by far and away the best in our opinion. Some favorite dishes include the Enchiladas Tricolor and the Tamales. Once seated you are given corn chips and three different dips: A warm bean dip, a mild salsa and a spicy salsa! The bean is my favorite and that goes the quickest but free refills are always available.

I make several trips a year from Nevada to Arizona. I admit, I plan my route each way to go through Wickenburg during lunch or dinner time solely to stop at el Ranchero for a meal.. They prepare authentic Mexican dishes with the best of them.. I really crave the enchiladas. Just writing about it makes me want to plan another Arizona trip, (I am sure my AZ friends and family are sick of seeing me!) also, the staff is always pleasant to us road weary travelers..
